An Afternoon at Play | Homemaker Poetry Series
While getting the necessary work done for the day is important, so is rest. Let your mind rest and your soul soak in the beauty of creation at the close of a busy day.
Even if all of the work isn’t done, take a few hours out of doors with your children to give you all a necessary moment of reprieve and reset. You can always come back to your work, but a lovely afternoon is gone in a moment.
Morning Sabbath | Homemaker Poetry Series
This poem was inspired by a rare moment alone on the back porch before the kids woke up. A blanket, cup of coffee and my Bible accompanied me for a moment of rapture basking in God’s creation.
Again | Homemaker Poetry Series
Sometimes, it’s nice to be reminded that you are not the only Christian who makes a mistake and admittedly seeks repentance and redemption. Mamas, you can try and try again.
What’s Your Hurry, Mother? | Homemaker Poetry Series
This poem was inspired by the busyness of motherhood. It’s written from the child’s perspective as a gentle plea to slow down and steward their little hearts while they are still in our care.
The Recipe | Homemaker Poetry Series
This poem was inspired by sharing the gospel like a beloved family recipe. It’s much simpler than you think!
Mundane Meetings | Homemaker Poetry Series
This poem was written with the homemaker in mind. It was inspired by the everyday encounters with God we experience during the most menial and mundane tasks. God’s goodness is abundant even in the humblest of settings!
